1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Endless Search, search.endless.sbs, the developer dashboard, and the Endless search API (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.
2. The Service
Endless provides a privacy-minded search interface and a developer API that aggregates publicly available search results through SearXNG and related sources. The Service is provided for general information and discovery. We do not guarantee that results are complete, current, accurate, available, lawful in every jurisdiction, or suitable for a particular purpose. Do not rely on a search result as legal, medical, financial, safety, or other professional advice.
3. Accounts and API keys
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and API key.
- Keep API keys confidential. Do not publish, share, sell, or embed a key in client-side public code.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access, and revoke a compromised key in the dashboard.
- We may limit, suspend, or revoke a key where reasonably necessary to protect the Service or users.
4. Free access and higher-volume requests
The free API tier currently provides up to 200 requests per day, subject to the limits shown in the dashboard and documentation. Limits may be adjusted to protect reliability, prevent abuse, or comply with upstream-source restrictions. Higher-volume access is not purchased through the Service at this time; contact [email protected] to discuss availability and terms. Any paid or custom arrangement will be governed by separate written terms.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- Break the law, violate another person’s rights, or facilitate fraud, abuse, harassment, or harm.
- Bypass rate limits, access controls, authentication, or other technical protections.
- Interfere with, overload, probe, or disrupt the Service, its providers, or other users.
- Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, deceptive content, or unlawful material.
- Resell, sublicense, or make the API available as a standalone service without written permission.
- Use automated means beyond documented API access in a way that creates unreasonable load.
6. Third-party content and links
Search results, previews, and links may point to third-party websites and content. Those sites are independent of Endless, and their availability, content, terms, and privacy practices are their own. A link or result does not mean Endless endorses it. You are responsible for evaluating third-party content and for complying with the rules that apply to your use of it.
7. Intellectual property and feedback
Endless and its original interface, branding, and documentation are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain rights in the content you provide to us. If you send feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you grant us permission to use them without restriction or compensation, while we will not identify you publicly as the source without your permission.
8. Availability, changes, and suspension
We may modify, maintain, pause, or discontinue all or part of the Service, including sources, features, limits, and free-tier availability. We will try to provide reasonable notice of material changes when practical, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend access immediately where we reasonably believe it is necessary for security, legal compliance, or to stop abuse.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Endless will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
10. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold Endless and its operators harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another party’s rights.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms here and change the effective date. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent allowed by applicable law. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
